AVS Video Editor

AVS Video Editor 7.2.1.269

AVS Video Editor allows you to edit your home videos with ease. It supports HD and Blu-ray videos. You can split, join, rotate, and edit your media and apply over 300 video effects or transitions. AVS Video Editor lets you add various menu styles and you can also burn your media to DVD or Blu-ray discs, or share them on the Internet.
As a video editing suite, it works perfectly fine to create home-made multimedia compositions, but unfortunately a professional editing suite it is not. AVS Video Editor features a fresh interface that is easy to use, and has been designed around the classic editor layout, with different panes that are dedicated to media library, timeline and preview window.
Key features include:
•Manage various video formats.
•300 video effects.
•HD video editing.
•Blu-ray support.
•Capture video.
•Share videos.
•Multilingual support*.

If you like to play around with your video media with applications such as Windows Movie Maker, then AVS Video Editor is going to be just what you are looking for. It includes loads of transition effects, video effects, and text and video overlays. You can also add additional audio and video overlays to add special effects or annotations to your media. You can apply color corrections, white balance adjustments and various other video effects to the duration of the movie or to individual scenes.
As soon as you have completed your project you can export and convert the movie to different formats including AVI, MPEG (DVD), iPod, WMV and also burn it to DVD or Blu-Ray disc.
Overall, AVS Video Editor is a full-featured, yet easy-to-use, video editor that enables you to edit and enhance your videos and convert them to a variety of formats. It is lacking some professional tools, but then again, it is not designed to be used by professional film makers.
*AVS Video Editor is available in English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian and Spanish.

KMPlayer

KMPlayer 4.0.6.4

KMPlayer

The KMPlayer is a versatile media player which can cover various types of container format such as VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, and QuickTime among others. It handles a wide range of subtitles and allows you to capture audio, video, and screenshots in many ways.

The player provides both internal and external filters with a fully controlled environment in terms of connections to other splitters, decoders, audio/video transform filters and renderers without grappling with the DirectShow merit system. Internal filters are not registered to user's system to keep it from being messed up with system filters.

In December 2008 KMPlayer was bought by Pandora.tv, and continues to be made available as freeware.
